Stilla is a shorthand for a new approach to hospitality in Malta, one that nods to our heritage and reimagines it for the modern traveller.
It was born from a simple desire: to share the bare, essential beauty of Maltese living. Not the hurried version, but the one held in quiet courtyards, warm limestone, and the gentle rhythm of the Three Cities.

Our way of hosting is shaped by the spirit of an albergo diffuso; a hospitality concept that lives within the fabric of a neighbourhood rather than behind a single door. Stilla unfolds across a constellation of restored homes in Birgu, Bormla, and Isla, each one carrying its own story, its own light, its own sense of place. Together, they form one experience: dispersed, local, and deeply connected to the communities around them.

We build our story one house at a time. Every residence is stripped back to its soul and rebuilt with a light touch, allowing heritage and contemporary comfort to meet without competing. To feel at home within someone else’s walls is a rare luxury; and we hold that responsibility with warmth and honesty.

With each new home we restore and open, Stilla becomes a quietly expanding constellation across the Three Cities — a place where time slows, stories settle, and visitors and locals meet with ease.
